Bagnolo in Piano, 18/11/2021. The growth of Elettrotek Kabel doesn’t stop: shortly after reaching the goal of its first 20 years, it has succeeded in another ambitious objective thanks to the acquisition of MB Group. This union reinforces and completes the offer of Elettrotek Kabel and it is an important addition to the wide range of proposed products and services.
With more than 30 years of experience, MB Group is specialized in the realization of personalized connectors and assembly through the overmolding process, with the most innovative technologies for production, control and certification.
Every manufacturing step takes place in the factory of Castelnovo di Sotto (RE) where high- and low-pressure mouldings and overmoldings are realized, with application in various fields like medical, industrial automation, renewable energies and electric traction.
The acquisition has been coordinated by Studio Baldi&Partners, located in Reggio Emilia, with a team led by lawyer Francesca Baldi and Saimon Conconi. This will allow Elettrotek Kabel to continue its development process, setting itself on the market as a group that has reached international dimensions.
The entry of MB (assisted in the transfer operation by Studio Viano e Associati, with a team led by Alessandro Beltrami and Katia Borghi) in the EK Group marks a new era of reinforcement for the Emilian group. From today they will be able to offer the customers a full package through every industrial phase, from the design of the cable and the production up until the final assembly, ensuring the control of the whole supply chain.
“The acquisition of MB Group – says Roberto Gallingani, CEO of EK Group – is a further demonstration for the group of our integrity and quality standards, to which Elettrotek Kabel has always aimed, and an important step towards the strengthening and increasing of our presence in the energy transition markets. To the present day we are able to supply high technology systems and added value to all the customers that are directly or indirectly involved in the climate change of the planet. An implementation that takes the turnover of the company to 80 million and that will allow the current 140 employees to develop more and more innovative projects, with advanced systems.
It is for us a source of pride to include in EK Group another excellence of the territory, that will be able to export with us the productive value of the Made in Italy.”
For Claudio Bigi, CEO of MB Group, the entry in EK Group will be an opportunity for business growth since the very beginning. Here his statement:
“We are proud – says Bigi – to join a group of companies that exports their design and production experience all over the world. For us, the entry in EK Group is the opportunity that we were looking for, in order to improve our business model and contribute to this project with our knowledge.
We do not doubt that the challenges we will face will be many and rather demanding, but we are also sure that working with Elettrotek Kabel Group will be for us the needed incentive to keep on growing.”
